ESPN to Feature Juan Pablo Montoya in 15 Episodes
Juan Pablo Montoya returns to the No. 42 Target Chevrolet with Earnhardt Ganassi Racing (EGR) with Felix Sabates
for his sixth full season in the NSCS and fourth full season with primary sponsor, Target. Since his debut in the
NSCS, Montoya has two wins, nine pole positions, 20 top-five and 51 top-10s in 217 starts. He was the series’
Rookie of the Year in 2007, made the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup and became the only foreign-born driver to
win multiple races in the elite series after his 2010 victory at Watkins Glen. Prior to joining the NASCAR ranks,
the Colombian native participated in several forms of open wheel racing. He has 137 starts between the CART,
INDYCAR and Formula One Series where he’s tallied 19 wins, 26 poles, 60 top-five and 79 top-10 finishes and has
won the Indianapolis 500, Rolex 24 At Daytona and the Monaco Grand Prix.
Fans will get an exclusive look into the behind the scenes world of Juan Pablo Montoya this season. ESPN2’s
NASCAR news and information program, NASCAR Now, has returned for its seventh season and the driver of the
No.42 Target Chevy SS will be featured in 15 segments throughout the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) season
The EGR driver will join as a regular guest and give fans an insight into his life on and off of the race track.
Each episode will feature Montoya, his Target team and what life is like on the road, at the track and at home
with his family. The Colombian born driver has named his show “The Real Juan”.
Montoya will be highlighted on ESPN’s NASCAR Now on race day with the first episode scheduled to air this Sunday,
Feb 24 at 9:00 am ET at Daytona International Speedway. NASCAR Now is scheduled to air Monday-Friday with
half-hour episodes originating from ESPN’s studios in Bristol, CT. A one-hour weekend edition is scheduled to air
on the morning of each NASCAR Sprint Cup race along with a weekend wrap-up.
