McMurray 21st, Montoya 30th at Talladega

Talladega, ALA (April 17, 2011) -  Juan Pablo Montoya and Jamie McMurray began the day from the 13th and 21st positions respectively. From the drop of the green flag, the EGR cars dropped to the rear of the field and rode in the back of the pack, biding their time until the closing laps. With 50 to go, the duo made their move as McMurray took the lead for the first time in the race. Unfortunately, their stay up front was short lived as Montoya suffered damage from contact with Ryan Newman, cutting the right front tire of Montoya. McMurray, without Montoya, battled hard to bring home a 21st place finish and Montoya brought the car home in the 30th position.
